Featured Employee: Nick Zelinske, Project Engineer

Say hello to Nick Zelinske. Nick is a Project Engineer specializing in electrical, control system & instrumentation design. He’s been with Hartwell Engineering going on seven years and has worked on many projects during that time. Most recently, he provided electrical design and I&C services on the Canton Water Pollution Control Plant.  He oversees the design, development, and installation of electrical and control systems in industrial environments. Nick starts his day by checking his email for any new proposals that have come in and checks on projects that are in a critical phase of development.  From the planning stage through the construction phase, Nick is there at every step putting his problem-solving skills to work.

He likes working with different types of designs and finding new solutions to tough problems. He’s always found complex ideas intriguing. During his senior year of college, he developed a proposal for a new type of motor designed like a ball socket joint. The concept (which had never been done before) replicated the motion of a shoulder and could be used with prosthetic limbs.

An avid tinkerer, he’s fascinated by how things work, and enjoys fixing and building mechanical or electrical things in his spare time. If he’s not working with his hands, he might be traveling to see new places or fishing.
